Some would argue this is the best time of the year. The weather is perfect for a bonfire, pumpkins and all things pumpkin are everywhere and that “smell of fall” is actually a thing. HALLOWEEN HOOPLA EXPO-
Adolf Funeral Home (7000 Madison St., Willowbrook) is hosting this spooktacular event on Oct. 23 from 3-5 p.m. Bring your little goblins to the Willowbrook-Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce’s second annual trick or trunk show, complete with treats and a DJ. PUMPKIN NIGHT HIKE FOR FAMILIES-
Have a spooktacular time in Fullersburg Woods (3609 Spring Rd., Oak Brook) Oct. 23-24 on this self-guided night hike. Use pumpkins and lanterns to light the way. There will also be a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt for kids and a treat at the end. Hike leaves every 15 minutes and the program is for all ages. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. JUNIOR BOARD FRIGHT FEST-
Join the Hinsdale Humane Society Junior Board for Fright Fest 2021 on October 30 at the Tuthill Family Pet Rescue & Resource Center (21 Salt Creek Lane, Hinsdale). Enjoy an outdoor haunted hallway, a fall-themed photo shoot and a showing of “Hocus Pocus” on the front lawn. Festivities start at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Visit:
