Egg-cellent things to do in March

Cabin fever (and a pandemic) have kept us inside our homes more than we’d like but the nicer weather gives us hope…and more events to enjoy.

DIY Maple Sugaring: The Basics – Ever wanted to know how to tap a maple tree and make maple syrup? Fullersburg Woods is sponsoring an event March 13 to teach how to do just that! With a little knowledge and a few tools, you too can make maple syrup. More info at:

THE GREAT HINSDALE EGGS-PLORATION – How many eggs can you find in Hinsdale? The Village of Hinsdale and The Community House are sponsoring a hunt for giant eggs all over Hinsdale March 19-April 4. To participate, go to to download clues and your passport. Both will be uploaded on March 19 so MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

• HERE COMES PETER COTTONTAIL! – It’s time to register for Pictures with the Bunny at KLM Park in Hinsdale. Saturday, March 27 & Sunday, March 28 from 9am-1pm. Pictures with the bunny are free, but registration and social distancing are required. Visit for more information and to register.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY FUN – With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, it’s not too early to sign up for some St. Patty’s Day fun. The Hinsdale Library is giving away a pre-packaged St. Patrick’s Day celebration kits complete with an age appropriate craft, sweet treats, coloring sheets, a word search, and a special prize printed on their 3D printer!
